Hello everyone, is product review time again. Hope everyone of you are doing fine. Today I’ll be reviewing the 3M Nexcare Acne Patch. This is the first acne patch that I have tried before I found the Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch. Acne patch is simply a patch that covers up your pimples to prevents secondary infections while healing. It works by drying out acne blemishes while at the same time providing a protective barrier against dirt and infections due to squeezing and picking of pimples. When its first launched, it became a fast selling skin care products in the market.
The one that I’m gonna review is Nexcare Acne Patch for night-use. I have personally tried both day-use and night-use. I personally prefer the night-use. It’s not because it gives me a better results (both day-use and night-use do perform the same). It’s because during the day I’m always with my make-up on, I feel it can be a little obvious for a patch to stay on my face. Although for the day-use it claims to be transparent and invisible.

HOW IT WORKS
The hydrocolloid dressings that contains in the patches help to absorb excess fluid while protecting the zits from trauma (touching with your finger) which effectively allows faster healing. They also keep the acne from drying out, which can speed up healing time.
The faint-yellow, circular tapes come stashed between two sterilized plastic films in a sealed, sterilized pouch. You therefore don’t have to worry about contamination; unless of course the seal was broken when you purchased the patches. The stickers act like a sponge, physically absorbing the gunk (pus, oily secretions, and other debris) in pimples.

REVIEW
The patches come in two sizes, which is good because I can use it according to the size of my pimples. The patches are actually doing the work. The next morning, I can see that the sticker turn white the moment all the oil has been sucked out. After removing the patch, the blemishes will be significantly become flatter. As for a more effective way to get all the oil to be sucked out, I will always poke a little hole into my pimples using the pimples extractor. If I didn’t do so, I find that my pimples is still the same (not reducing the size or healing). It comes with a plastic film to protect the patches, which is quite hygiene. Overall, this acne patch just work as how others acne patch do. However, I find it has a little problem on the sticker. Some of the stickers/patches, can be not sticky as others. It tend to fall out from my face. This issues really irritated me. I have to make sure my skin is fully dry, you can’t even apply toner because slightly oil will cause this stickers to be useless. (Which the Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch will be better because I still can apply toner to hydrate my skin.) Even if my skin is fully dry, but after a night it still can be drop out. (or maybe I can be a little rough when sleeping… LOL)
I’ll give this acne patches 3 out of 5 (3/5). I’ll still prefer the Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch which works perfectly fine on me. The COSRX one might be a bit pricey, so if you just wanna try it out you can choose Nexcare which is much more cheaper.
